Masks will not be mandatory anymore, but your stylist will wear one if preferred. You are more than welcome to bring in outside beverages or enjoy a tea or coffee on us. What will not be changing for now is; we still do not have a waiting sitting area, we kindly ask that if it’s nice outside to enjoy the sun until your stylist is ready for you. Because we do not have a waiting area we cannot accommodate accompanying guests.

At Changes Hair Studio in Kamloops, we treat our guests to more than just a hair service. We provide a unique experience that includes a thorough personal consultation, followed by Aveda’s signature shampoo and conditioning treatment. We are also a certified Philocaly salon, we specialize in their tape-ins as well as their hand-tied natural Remy hair extensions.

I love love love the Smooth Infusion line. I love having soft messy hair

What’s 3 things you cannot live without?
3 things I can’t live without Coffee, time with Alex and time with the people I care about

What inspires you?
Inspiration comes from the people I meet, my fantastic team, sitting on my patio having my morning coffee. Writing in my gratitude journal. My family and friends. Being creative in my job. Being in my 40’s, I have learned more about myself, I love me again!!

What’s your favorite Aveda product?
Always changing but currently the Dry Shampoo. Great for between washes and after the gym. It absorbs excess oil and moisture for days you’re in a rush!

What 3 things could you not live without?
3 things I can’t live without… exercise, my kid, and dogs.

What inspires you?
I would have to say authenticity inspires me. I love how honest authentic people are! It keeps me in check. It helps me reflect on who I want to be.

What’s your favorite Aveda product?
My favorite aveda product would have to be air control, I love the aroma and it’s a very universal product for all hair types although texture tonic would be a close second for my favorite.

What 3 things could you not live without?
3 things I couldn’t live without would be sunny days, my cat and vacations!

What Inspires you?
My inspiration comes from both my coworkers and clients. I love how there are so many different personalities and styles out there that it’s hard not to be inspired.

things I cannot love without of course my family and loved ones, coffee lots of it and of course my dry shampoo.

What inspires you?
My inspiration comes from my mentors in the industry that I look up to. When I took my training with Aveda the best advice someone told me was to find someone you truly admire and pick their brain and learn as much as you can from them. I find what others have learnt and their experiences in the industry inspires me the most and gives back into my passion for what I do.

How long have you been a stylist?
I am a fully licensed cosmetologist/makeup artist with a combined total of over twenty years in the beauty industry. After graduating from the Blanche Macdonald Center, my career began in film, fashion, theatre, and cosmetics and it wasn’t long afterwards that I migrated into hair.
And I never looked back.

How long have you worked at Changes?
I joined the Changes family in 2019

What’s your favorite Aveda Product?
The Daily Light Guard Defence spf 30!

What’s 3 things you cannot live without?
When I’m not behind the chair, I enjoy the quiet pastimes of reading, writing, and gardening

What inspires you?
Working with such a phenomenal group of staff and stylists, I’m inspired on a daily basis. However in order to stay fresh and current, I gravitate to British and Harajuku street style fashion, music, film, and long scrolls on Instagram and Pinterest to always be ahead of the game when it comes to trends.

My current favourite aveda product is Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair! I like how it’s a two in one, you get that heat protection, and repair.

What are three things you cannot live without?
I can’t live without mountains, lakes and forests!

What inspires you?

My co-workers inspire me! This industry has so much talent and technique it’s so great to learn from the people closest to me!

What is your favorite color?

My favourite color is green! But I’m biased towards pink. Lol
